Hello & Welcome!

Wow, it’s finally here. If you’re reading this, it means my website is live and loaded! I’m so excited and I’m so grateful to you for dropping by and visiting my site.

I’ve been wanting to incorporate my photographs into planner products for ages. I remember talking to a friend of mine about it way back when I still lived in Brisbane, which must have been around 2015. I was thinking about making journaling cards, way back then. Here’s an example of one:

So, 2015 was a very busy year for me in my 9-5 job with a large amount of travel. I was still photographing things, and learning a lot as a photographer, and I was planning (of course) but I didn’t get a chance to bring the two together.

I moved to Melbourne at the end of 2015 and that was a big change, having downsized dramatically and getting used to the new working situation (same job, just a new location). And at the end of 2016, I started my planner instagram account (@desleyjane_plans) and I finally found my people. Finally I could see where my photos might fit in the planner community.

On 08 January 2018 I started my YouTube channel and on 01 March, I was able to announce that I was one of kikki.K’s first Planner Insiders, tasked with creating “the ultimate planner” and that’s where the kikki.K B6 planner was born.

So, I’ve used the excuse that “I’m just too busy” ever since then and I think that’s because I’ve been terrified to share this with you in case you don’t like it! I’m still terrified, but if COVID has taught me anything, it’s that life is too short. My Dad always says “life is what you make it” and I totally agree with him.

So here I am, excited and terrified, but ready to show you these first special releases. I’ve filmed a little video for each, to talk you through the design - I hope you like them.

My initial idea was for planner pockets, made with my exclusive photography - you won’t find these photos anywhere else. But after chatting with a couple of close friends in the planner community, I’ve decided to add a few other products as well - so we have pocket and dashboards…. and there’s something else very special coming very soon!
